Since 1994 an appointed group of people, called the Judicial Evaluation Commission, have met to decide whether a Supreme Court or intermediate appellate court Judge, appointed by the Governor, should be allowed to run for retention election. That makes it an important and powerful committee. And you’ll be shocked to know who is in control of it. Surely the state Senate will insist that this be fixed. |
