Don't You Just Hate It?

America was founded upon some basic principles, the most fundamental of which we declared to all the world, namely, that we are “endowed by our Creator with certain inalienable rights.” I hate to say it, but now days that “just ain’t so.” Congress proved it last week. |

We Need a 'Bunch' More Like Him
|
|
| |
Yesterday state Senator Dewayne Bunch (R-Cleveland) made it known that he was not going to run for re-election in 2010. No doubt, the people of his district will elect a conservative successor, but his decision to retire will leave a hole in the Senate. Senator Bunch, first elected in 1996, is not only a true conservative, but he is a sharp lawyer who is willing to stand against judicial activism, counter liberal legal arguments, and champion causes that others will merely support when the time for a vote comes around. This past year he was a well-prepared and strong sponsor of the Religious Freedom Protection Act, which is now state law. Some say “kill all the lawyers.” They wouldn’t say that if they had Senator Bunch representing them. We need a “bunch” more like him. |
