  Who's on First: Musical Chairs, Political Style  
 

We’ve all played musical chairs at some point in our childhood. But politicians in Tennessee are playing the political equivalent. Who’s running and who’s not and for what is getting to be a little like Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s on First?” First you see them, then you don’t. Here’s what’s happening.

 
  Will the Engine of Compassionate Conservatism Be under Our Christmas Trees?  
 

Republicans are known as the party of limited government. They often tout the need to reform welfare-related programs and the need for such programs to be run by charitable organizations and private associations. It’s called compassionate conservatism. I believe it really is a good idea, but it has to have one thing to work. And Republicans need to show that they are willing to make it work.

 
  Want to Have More Influence?  
 

If nothing else, the TEA Party movement has demonstrated that people want to have a voice in their country and their state. They want to be heard. And providing you with the information you need and an easy means of contacting your state and federal legislators is part of what we want to provide. But some people have a greater voice than others. Is yours being heard as often as it could?
