Often it is our state legislatures—not Washington—that control the nation’s cultural climate. You can protect Tennessee families by praying for our lawmakers, tracking their legislation, and contacting them with your views. When lawmakers know their constituents care enough about an issue to pray and contact them, often their vote is swayed.
Each Tennessean is represented by two elected officials in the legislature: one in the Senate and one in the House of Representatives. Bills must pass both houses to become law, so please remember both in your prayers and communication efforts:
- Find your state Representative or state Senator and his email address.
- Mail letters to "Nashville, TN 37243" (no street address).
- Reach any legislator by phone toll-free, (800) 449-8366.
