FACT regards traditional marriage and family as the bedrock of stable societies. Since marriage was designed to be the lifelong, sexually exclusive relationship between one man and one woman, our children are best served when marriage and family remain this way. This is best for our nation—when marriages are strong, families are strong; when families are strong, societies are strong.
Sadly, today the family is hurting: Divorce and infidelity rates are high; many couples are entering short-lived cohabitation relationships rather than marriage; and some are seeking to redefine marriage altogether. Allowing our culture to stay on this course would be detrimental to the health of our society and even to some of our constitutional freedoms. Read FACT's position statement.
