According to a 2003 Barna Research study, only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical worldview. That means only a fraction of Christians really believe their beliefs are real—and the rest are living like unbelievers. To counteract this trend, Focus on the Family has launched The Truth Project, a DVD-based small group curriculum developed and taught by Dr. Del Tackett. Its objective is to help Christians to view all of life from a biblical perspective.
For those interested in leading small groups using The Truth Project curriculum, Dr. Tackett will conduct a satellite training event via CCN on September 27, 2008. Host churches around the country will air the training footage for participants from their surrounding communities. At this training event Dr. Tackett will explain the basic concepts of The Truth Project and teach participants how to lead Truth Project small groups in their own churches.
Churches are invited to serve as host sites for this simulcast event. A final list of Tennessee host sites will be announced on this page in February.
Registration for participants will be $119 per person or $149 per couple. Through June 30, 2008, early registrants pay only $99. Participants will receive the complete 12-lesson Truth Project Curriculum on DVD and password-protected access to The Truth Project’s support Web site. Registration information is forthcoming. |
